“Knasgowa Place” depicts the landscape of Douglas Lake in Eastern Tennessee near Dandridge. Douglas Lake is a TVA lake formed by the French Broad River and is home to he heron, bald eagle, osprey, hawk, and other birds or prey. The blue heron is known as Knasgowa by the Cherokee.
